AcrylicstabACRYLICSTAB is a Japanese pop-rock duo consisting of the vocalist UYU and guitarist / programmer 阿部隆大 (Ryudai Abe). They band became active in 2006 and have released multiple demo’s and 2 mini-albums to date. Since June 2010 they also started to spread their music for free via Philosonide Factory, the label of Ryudai Abe.

Their name ACRYLICSTAB derives from the words acrylic and stab, in which they mean their music stings the people in their hearts. Their music is catchy though it is characterized by aggressive, painful lyrics .

All the way from the Netherlands I find myself musically attracted to mostly Japanese indie bands. Ofcourse I also listen to bands that are closer to home and have some favourites hailing from the Netherlands, Belgium and Great Britain.
