Crash Encore

“It’s not just the music of Crash Encore that’s unique, but their approach in getting it out to the masses. We’ve seen it before: A band releases a single for free on MySpace, hoping you’ll buy the CD. For the San Diego group, they’re giving away a free song every week. The varied styles between each track will make sure their Beauty Bar show is nothing short of unpredictable. Just check out tunes like “Take it All,” a hard-country influenced track with an Elvis Costello sense of pop fanaticism, or “Hold Me Close,” which has a Britpop flow. Three albums worth of free material — the least you can do is show up, pay a cover and pay attention.” Aziz Bawany

TJ Royer (Guitar)
Jackson Price (Bass, Flute, Vocals)

Crash Encore was co-founded by Jon Bishop, who has been at the forefront of the Southern California techno scene since 1991. In 2006, Jon Bishop began writing and recording a refreshing genre-rich style of music with Bryan Stratman at Capricorn Studios in downtown San Diego, California USA.

This music had a different feel, still with that familiar hook, but with a new depth even The Beatles would be proud of. Soon John and Bryan knew this creative energy was not to be ignored and Crash Encore was born. Add guitarist TJ Royer, master of bass, vocals and flute Jackson Price and drummer Mike Cooper, and the line-up was complete.

After recording their debut album Volume 1, Crash Encore were nominated for a San Diego Music Award as Best New Artist of 2007. As a follow up to Volume I, Crash Encore is releasing a free new song download a week all of 2009, at crashencore.com. The songs are still available. Enjoy.
