DACHAMBO
Dubbed Digital Hippies; Dachambo, with dijuridu and twin drums, fat bottom bass lines, loud and soulful guitar mixed with a digital sound Dachambo is a band which is hard to pigeonhole in any category of music. Loving and appreciating all types of world and international music, this love of music has greatly influenced the band’s musical style.
Formed in 2001, Dachambo released their first ep psilocybe brain in 2002. Affiliated with Pleasure-Crux (label), Dachambo manages themselves and performs at every outdoor festival they can. Performing at FUJIROCK FESTIVAL four times since 2005. In 2004, the band released their first mini album A Live Fool On The Moon, their first album aphrodelic ngoma and second album Dr.Dachambo in Goonyara Island, all within five months of each other. The band’s latest album L was released on October 2, 2008.
Channeling 70s rock guitar power, high energy dance beats, and spacey moments of psychedelic trance. Dachambo’s creative style is a blending of anything from Jam Rock, Trance, Latin, Funk, Psychedelic to Tribal, Dance and many other musical genres. Dachambo’s myspace intro comment says it best: “Don’t think, Feel it!”
