Formed in 2008, by guitarist Kokeshi, bassist Karuta, drummer Rossi, vocalist and guitar player Yumiho — Hanato Chiruran (花ト散るらん) is a Rock ‘n’ Roll band with a Japanese twist from Tokyo. Originally collaborating with dance and hip-hop artists, the group changed their style and their name (Enishi) in 2009, becoming more eclectic — Drawing on the members’ musical experiences while showcasing frontwoman Yumiho’s voice and mesmerizing stage presence.
According to Yumiho, the band’s name “Hanato Chiruran” is inspired by a set of poems. “We liked the verse, “Scattered flowers” and changed it to “Flower scattering” which led to our band name “Like a falling flower.”
In 2009, the group released their first album Dirty and Beauty. The album was sold at their live shows and received critical acclaim from both fans and critics alike. That same year, Hanato Chiruran competed and won first place in Emergenza the world’s largest festival for unsigned bands, featuring “up and coming” bands from across the globe, with concerts in more than 150 cities around the world.
The next year, the group signed with Precioustone (management) of Tokyo, releasing their second album Buldozer. While later that year, the band toured Germany and France, opening for “Prodigy.”
Organized by Europeon management Idealex of Bologna — In 2012, Hanato Chiruran toured Italy. The tour was a success with local media and audiences’ fascination with the band hitting fandom-pitch. On February 20th, 2013, it was announced that drummer Rossi who had left the group, would be replaced by new member Daruma.
