LAZYgunsBRISKY

LAZYgunsBRISKYLAZYgunsBRISKY is an all-girl hard rock quartet from Tokyo, Japan. Comprising of members Lucy (vocals), Izumi (guitar), Azu(bass, vocals), and Moe (drums). The band draws influence from 60s and 80s rock and roll, replete with fat guitars and sludgy bass.

LAZYgunsBRISKY current sound could be described as an updated take on the likes of Guns N’ Roses and Aerosmith, while some of their older songs possess the brutish simplicity of The Stooges. The band formed in September 2006, and within five months they had released their first demo CD.

April 2008, saw the release of their debut album, quixotic, on the indie label July Records. The band followed the release with a tour of Japan, quickly building up a strong following on the club circuit. Capitalizing on their momentum, LAZYgunsBRISKY released the mini-album Catching! on major label Babestar. The record was produced by Kenichi Asai, former leader of the legendary trio Blankey Jet City, who also co-wrote the track “Pretending” on the album.

In July 2009, the band released their second mini-album, 26 Times, on Associated Flyingstar Records (label) and produced by Asai. In July 2010, LAZYgunsBRISKY signed to Buffalo, N.Y. – based label Good Charamel (GCR) – founded by Goo Goo Dolls bassist Robby Takac. The band’s 2nd major mini album “26times” was available digitally in North America through GCR on August 31, 2010. On the same day GCR released the compilation “I Love J-Rock” physically and digitally — Two songs from “26times” are included on the album.

LAZYgunsBRISKY is doing something right, great music.
