THE ALFEE
Virtually unknown outside of Japan, THE ALFEE is a popular progressive rock group composed of Masaru Sakurai (voice, bass), Kōnosuke Sakazaki (voice, guitar, percussion) and Toshihiko Takamizawa (voice, guitar). To fans in Japan, THE ALFEE is nothing short of a legend, with a rock career spanning over 35 years. THE ALFEE released their debut single on August 25, 1974, and in 2003, HMV Records Japan rated them #92 in their “Top 100 Japanese Pops Artists.”
